Sometime even after redirecting the product URL, The customer still gets a 404 error due to their browser cache history. They are required to clear their browser cache, or you can guide them to try using Incognito/InPrivate mode.


To Clear their Browser cache history:
  • Open Microsoft Edge.
  • Click the three-dot menu (⋯) in the top-right corner.
  • Select Settings.
  • In the left-hand menu, select Privacy, search, and services.
  • Scroll down to the Clear browsing data section.
  • Click the Choose what to clear button.
  • In the Time range dropdown, select the desired time period (for example, All time to clear everything).
  • You may also select Browsing history and Cookies and other site data if needed, but note that clearing cookies will sign you out of websites.
  • Click Clear now.


To Open in InPrivate Mode
  • Open Microsoft Edge.
  • Click the three-dot menu (⋯) in the top-right corner.
  • Select New InPrivate window
